York Stakes Trends

By on July 25, 2020

Today is the Group 2 York Stakes at 2.40.

Trends are a great way to build up a profile of the likely winner. So with that in mind here are the top 10 trends of the past 12 renewals…

  1. 11 of the last 12 winners were aged between 4 & 6.
  2. 11/12 winners had at least 10 previous flat runs.
  3. 11/12 winners had at least 4 previous flat wins.
  4. 11/12 winners had at least 3 previous runs over 10 or 11 furlongs.
  5. 11/12 winners had their last run within the last 38 days.
  6. 11/12 winners had at least 3 previous runs that season.
  7. 10/12 winners had a rating of 111 or higher.
  8. 10/12 winners had at least 1 previous win that season.
  9. 10/12 winners had at least 1 previous win over 10 or 11 furlongs.
  10. 8/12 winners had at least 1 previous Group 1-3 win.

And here are the trends in visual form:

A box coloured green means that horse passes that trend. Red means it fails.

The trend number correlates to the trends as they are listed above.

The accuracy percentages represent the strength of the trend. So 100% would mean every past winner passed that trend and 50% would mean that half of the winners passed that trend . So the trends on the left are the strongest.

The two horses that fit the trends best are Aspetar and Elarqam.

Of course you may want to do your own trends analysis and all the trends are listed on the webpage above.
