This is not a good negotiation tactic

It’s been a summer to forget for Barcelona.

They might have received a world record fee but losing Neymar is a big blow.

He’s considered by most as the player most likely to take on the mantle of the ‘world’s best player’ when Messi and Ronaldo hang up their boots.

And he hasn’t gone quietly.

Yesterday Barcelona denounced him and said he didn’t apply to his contract’s terms. They’re suing for €8.5 million in damages.

Neymar has counterattacked by going to FIFA to claim his €26 million contract renewal bonus.

In addition to that mess is their embarrassing pursuit of Coutinho, who Liverpool insist is not for sale.

That hasn’t stopped Barcelona and they have submitted another bid this morning and apparently “will never give up”.

I’m no expert but “we aren’t gonna stop offering higher amounts of money” is not a good negotiation tactic.

This follows on from their laughable statement last week saying Liverpool had till Wednesday to accept their offer.

Instead out turned out to be…

“You have until Wednesday or we’ll have to offer you more money”.

To make matters worse Iniesta and Messi are entering the last year of their contracts and are free to sign with other teams come January.

Disastrous summer are often followed by disastrous campaigns, and this could be their worst in a while.

I can’t see them going too far in the Champions League and they could feasibly finish 3rd in La Liga.

Something to think about if you like betting on Spanish football.

I’ve had a few emails requesting tipster services that offer tips for a one-off payment.

It seems a lot of you don’t like to be tied into subscriptions and I can understand that.

Once such service has just launched today that charges just £19 for the whole season.

It’s called The Football Tipping King and you can read all about it here.

They offer three types of bets…

1. The majority of bets are simple win/lose/draw, both to score, over 2.5 goals etc. and will have a high strike rate.

2. A second type of bet for the Premier League only is the correct score market that will see a lower strike rate but higher returns.

3. And finally they have their £100 to £5000 challenge. This challenge will be starting in a week or so, and will attempt to turn a bank of £100 into £5000 using a very strategic method and strategic staking plan.

If this all sounds like something you’d be interested in then you can check it out here.

As I said it costs just £19 for the whole season.
