5 reasons why this is the best free alternative to The Racing Post

By on February 7, 2017

A few days ago I wrote an email trashing the new Racing Post website.

From the responses I received it seems the majority of you agree with me.

I did get a few readers asking for my advice on the best free alternative for racecards.

My vote would go for At The Races.

Here are my top 5 reasons…

1. It has a very nice, easy on the eye layout.

(This just makes it easier to go about form reading and doesn’t give you a headache!)

2. You get the Timeform verdict as well as the At The Races Verdict.

(Timeform have their own unique ratings and this extra analysis is very useful.)

3. They give you a pace verdict so you can visualise how the race will be run.

(Pace is an under utilised tool but it can be very useful when used correctly.)

4. Their FormScan tool allows you to access the relative form of each horse in the race very quickly.

(This tool creates a rating based on the previous meetings between horses in the race.)

5. They provide full form filter options for each horse.

(When looking into an individual horse’s racing history you can filter the results by several different factors, including going, distance and others, which allows you to access the horse on conditions that match today’s race.)

If you’re looking for a free alternative to the Racing Post I would definitely recommend At The Races.

If you’re looking for someone else to do the hard work for you then I would definitely recommend you check out our service The Percentage Form Edge.

It was another cracking day yesterday with a full house.

Three races bet in, three winners…

NIMR @ 4.4 BSP

The service has now picked the winners in 21 out of 28 races this year.

That’s a strike rate of 75%!

It’s not surprising that it averages over 200 points profit a year.

If you like the thrill of a big winner you’ll love this service.
