5 key trends for today’s Bet365 Handicap

By on July 11, 2019

The three-day 2019 Newmarket July Meeting starts today so we’ve got some good racing to look forward to over the next few days.

The Bet365 Handicap is run today and it’s a notoriously hard race to pick the winner in.

Over the past 13 years not one favourite has prevailed.

So it’s time to dust off the top trends to see if we can find the profile of the winner.

I’m using the trends from the past 13 years.

Here goes…

None of the 13 past winners won last time out.

This would rule out Aplomb, Moss Gill, Princess Power, Gabrial The Wire and Pass The Vino.

All of the past 13 winners raced in the last 4 weeks.

This would rule out Almufti and Top Breeze.

12 of the past 13 winners had had 3 or 4 previous runs that season.

This would rule out Look Out Louis, Woven, Philipine Cobra, Kinks and Magical Wish.

11 of the past 13 winners had won over 6f before.

This would rule out Street Parade, Alfie Solomons, Jack’s Point and Barbill.

For me these are the main 4 trends and it would leave a shortlist of four; Dazzling Dan, Blown By Wind, Rathbone, and Benny And The Jets.

Of course you may decide to just focus on a couple of those and use them as a starting point for your own analysis.

Another couple of trends you might be interested in…

10 of the past 13 winners carried 8-12 or less.
9 of the past 13 winners came from a double-figure stall.

As always, good luck to those having a bet.

Of course if you just want straight tips without having to do the hard work for yourself then I highly recommend you sign up to Tipster Warehouse.

For just £9 a month you can get access to SIX tipsters that make an average of £419.36 profit per month.

Best of all you can trial them for £1 here.

Enjoy the racing today,
